Several examples of journalists being killed (intentionally as well as "unintentionally") have arose on the internet throughout recent history. Websites like Wikileaks.com have attributed to the uncovering of such videos.
This video seen above was obtained and decrypted by Wikileaks. This video previously was not released to the public. This took place in 2007 at a public square in Eastern Baghdad. Those killed during this supposed "unintentional" attack included Reuters journalist Namir Noor-Eldeenm, his driver Saeed Chmagh, and several others. Apparently they are assumed as insurgents when after the initial shooting they arrive on scene and attempt to transport the wounded. The official US military statement claimed the pilots did not know how the deaths occurred. This footage was released to the public thanks to Wikileaks in 2010 and can be found at http://www.collateralmurder.com/
This video seen above is footage being shot by Fadel Shana, a Reuter journalist, who was killed in the line of duty while covering the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. He was filming along the Israeli boarder when despite clear markings that portrayed him as a journalist he was fired upon and killed instantly by a tank shown in the near distance. There were also 16 other Palestinians and three Israeli soldiers during this attack.
Above is just two small yet still important documents in the realm of journalism related killings. CPJ the leading source in the advocacy of protecting journalists worldwide has a well documented report of every journalist killed since 1992. It goes into whether their death was due to crossfire or if their was a murder behind their death, classifying it as murder. For a full list you can visit http://www.cpj.org/killed/2013/
